After returning from the war the business was founded in 1945 by Harold Barker and William Geary. Starting from humble beginnings the business was formed to initially manufacture and sell locally coppiced products such as farm stakes, hazel wattle hurdles, firewood, bean rods pea sticks etc. The company still operates from the same premises in Kings Somborne, Hampshire from where it started, all those years ago.
