Agricultural Fencing

Built for Strength, Safety & Longevity

Agricultural fencing is a vital investment for any farm, estate, or rural property. It’s not just about marking boundaries — it’s about keeping livestock safe, protecting crops, preventing vermin damage, and creating long-lasting divisions that can withstand the elements.

For over seven decades, Barker & Geary has been a trusted supplier of high-quality agricultural fencing materials to farmers, landowners, and rural trades. We understand that no two sites are the same, which is why we stock a broad range of solutions — from classic post & rail fencing to stock netting, rabbit barriers, and electric fencing systems.

Our timber is FSC-certified where possible and pressure-treated to British Standards for a long service life, even in exposed locations. You can visit our yard and shop in Kings Somborne to collect your fencing, or order online for fast local delivery, confident that every product has been selected for strength, safety, and reliability.

Popular Agricultural Fencing Types

Post & Rail

A cost-effective and attractive option for livestock boundaries, paddocks, and general field use. Available with half-round or square sawn rails, in two- or three-rail configurations, fixed to treated softwood posts for strength and stability.

Stock Fencing

Perfect for sheep, dogs, and mixed livestock. Available in various heights and mesh sizes, with round treated posts (75–100mm) and 6″ strainers. Can be fitted with additional line wires or barbed wire for added security.

Electric Fencing

Lightweight and adaptable — ideal for rotational grazing or temporary divisions. Options include steel wire, poly tape, or poly rope with insulators, offering added visibility and safe stock control.

Rabbit Fencing

31mm mesh netting to exclude young rabbits and hares. Typically buried 15cm underground and angled towards the rabbit side, with the option for an overhang. Can also be adapted as squirrel-resistant mesh for caging.

Barbed Wire

Adds vital protection against downward pressure from cattle or heavy animals. Available in both high-tensile and mild steel to suit site requirements.
